Chris Laming, prop. CPL Energy Systems, is on contract to the RNLI as a Marine Electrical Engineer. Chris's major works include;

  • The electrical requirements of the 25 year life extension for the Severn class All Weather Lifeboat, (ALB), the largest in the RNLI fleet.
  • The upgrade of 24 volt charging and 110 volt systems on the All Weather Lifeboats (ALB's). An electrical survey and inspection document for assessing the condition of electrical installations on all ALB's.
  • Skill and training requirements for personnel carrying out surveys and electrical installation work.
  • RNLI Electrical standard for 110 volt shore supply arrangements for ALB's and pontoons. RNLI Electrical standard for 230 volt installations in Lifeboat stations, (floating and static).

Although Chris is contracted to the RNLI until the end of March 2016, CPL Energy Systems are available for electrical design and consultancy work for marine and off-grid electrical systems.
